Inexpensive hotel stay for 3 adults in London & Paris?

I will be travelling with my elderly parents to London %26amp; Paris around Oct. Other than Youth Hostels, can you suggest hotels/inns where 3 adults can stay for a total of within $50 per night ? I am usually finding places at around 30GBP per person per night.

$50 USD = 鈧?7 = 拢34

London and Paris are very expensive capital cities. The limit you've placed of $50/night for 3 people just isn't viable. I don't think you could find any accommodation for that rate, including hostels. The cheapest hostels cost about $30/person/night in both cities, and that's for a bunk in a public room. If you somehow were able to find a place to stay at that price, it wouldn't be the sort of place I'd take my elderly parents.

There's a nice 2-star hotel a bit east of the city centre in Paris, which is the nicest cheap place I've found in the city.

It's unlikely to find anywhere cheaper unless you go far into the suburbs. Hotel de la Porte Dor茅e offers a triple room starting at 鈧?00/night, which is about $135. The neighborhood is cozy and safe, the metro stop is just outside and one of the owners is American, thus no language problems. They are very helpful, and the bakery across the street is fantastic.

The cheapest inns and guest houses in London that are actually decent will be about the same price. The 拢30/person/night price you found is accurate.

If you and your parents are feeling adventurous, you could try couchsurfing. Hosts of all ages offer guest beds or rooms in their homes to travellers. In exchange, the guest might bring a small gift from home or take the host out to dinner one night. You can read through profiles and find others with similar interests and compatible personalities. I've always had a good experience, and it's definitely the cheapest accommodation, but privacy and freedom to come and go are lessened.

Travelling a month later may reduce the prices by a couple of 鈧?拢. It depends on whether the inn has a high/low season, and what their dates are.Inexpensive hotel stay for 3 adults in London %26amp; Paris?
Have you had a look at GTA hotels? You can usually find some 拢30-拢40 hotels (sometimes it's per person, sometimes it's per room - making it even cheaper!). The link below takes you to the London hotel section, but they also have a Paris section too.
