Atlantic City hotel stay.....please help?

Hi,

I'm going to a bachelor party the 24th of Jamuary. The soon to be groom and others are staying at the Borgata. Me and my friends were looking for cheaper hotels on the boardwalk as we have no money. I've looked at the super 8 and others but they are about 2 miles away from the Borgata.

My question is are taxis ridiculously expensive? Is there alternative transportation besides driving? Any ideas on other hotels for around a hundred would be appreciated. And lastly is it too far to walk, I know it will be freezing.

Thanks!!

Why don't you post your question in the correct category ... this one is for travel to Las Vegas. You will get a better answer if you place it in the right city.Atlantic City hotel stay.....please help?
First of all, there are some really bad neighborhoods in Atlantic City once you get a couple of blocks from the casinos. To walk from the boardwalk to the Borgata would require you to walk through what may be arguably the worst area in all of New Jersey.

Also, ask yourself do you really want to leave a good batchelor party to take a cab back to some dumpy motel on the boardwalk. If the answer is reall yes, you shouldn't pay more than $10 for a cab from the Borgata to the central boardwalk area.
Your best bet is BookMe.com. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites, and save money. Good luck!
