I am getting married on November 8th down in Santa Barbara, CA. I am having trouble finding any place, any where down there which does not allow just a one night stay. We are looking for a nice hotel for our wedding night and most places have a two night minimum. Has anyone run across this and is there a way around it? One night hotel stay...Santa Barbara?
There is really no way around it. They can set the rules any way they want. It's all about supply and demand, and apparently demand is still high enough that they can require two nights. Perhaps there is something going on in town that weekend.
Try a B%26amp;B, like Prufrock's Garden Inn in Carpinteria. It's a nice cozy B%26amp;B that Mrs. Obviousman and I really like.One night hotel stay...Santa Barbara?
The only way I have managed 1 night is to stay on a Sunday into a Monday. I have seen several hotels allow this after Labor Day. Too bad you could not change your wedding date to the 9th.
