Do hotels still put holds on your debit card if you puchase your hotel stay on a website such as expedia or yahoo. We are trying to go to vegas to visit a relative and between the usual $300 hold a hotel puts and the $300 a car rental places on your debit card it gets to be kind of tough. Depends on the hotel's policy - occasionally a deposit is required - shop around.
