No, I haven't actually. The ROP vouchers I get are not for free hotel stays, but for discounted stays. Invariably, the discount is from a very high starting price, so why bother ..?
You can, however, buy travels and hotel stays paying with ROP points. So, instead of a free TG ticket, you can get a free hotel stay.

Yes it is free of charge. But we pay for 10% service charged, 11% government tax on the rack rate of the type of the room which we choose. Congratulations! You must be a frequent traveller of Thai Airways International Airlines?
they are ok but in truth you wont save very much,30% of something grotesquely overpriced is only just reasonable.On the plus side hotels that Thai promote/use are good quality,they have a reputation to uphold.Thai airways have yet to disappoint me
