Florida Sales Tax? For hotel stay?

Hey...I am getting a hotel in Panama city and I am wondering what the sales tax is there. Just wanting to get a good estimate of my total cost. Thanks...Florida Sales Tax? For hotel stay?
thanks to our tourist industry we don't pay a state tax due to our tourist covering it when they stay at our hotels. the state tax is 6% for hotels and the county tax is based on the county most are between 6-7.5% so guesstimate about 13-14% tax

Does the hotel have a website. You can go on the site enter your dates and go to the last page to get a total. If you are paying less for the room you can still get an approximate total. You can also call the hotel directly and ask for the total of your stay. In Kissimmee the hotel we stay at is 13% total. 7% hotel tax and 6% sales tax (something to that sort).
it's different for each county. florida base sales tax is 6%, but some counties have added on (duval is 7 %) and then each county has its own bed tax
