When is the best time to book my hotel stay for my Las Vegas Trip on April 16-19?

I couple friends and myself are going to Vegas in April and im wondering when is the best time to book. I put myself on the mailing list for most of the major Hotels on the strip. However, it always seems that the best deals that include VIP club passes, buffets and free casino play, usually come along with the stipulation that you are planning on going within the next couple of weeks. Our Airfare has been booked and paid for months back and i'm afraid of waiting too long to book a hotel and getting burned. A coworker of mine who goes often keeps telling me I should wait it out since our economy is in recession and Las Vegas isn't drawing the crowds like it used it too, so the deals will keep getting better? Any body have any advice? When is the best time to book my hotel stay for my Las Vegas Trip on April 16-19?
Unlike what someone else said, prices for hotels change on April 1. Thea begins the busy season here in Vegas. April, May and June are the busy month followed by September and October. That is when the weather is perfect here. Not cold and not too hot. That is why you aren't getting lower prices or better packages for that time. If you find one you like you should book it as soon as possible. I doubt they will run out of rooms here. This year is particularly difficult to tell how the rooms will sell. The only ones who have a vague idea are the hotels themselves with the advance reservations. If they book good in the early stages like now for then they will start to raise the prices. If advance bookings are low then they will drop the prices. This is the slow time of the year here right now and they are running all kinds of specials to get as many people here to fill the empty rooms. That is why you don't see coupons, package deals after April 1.When is the best time to book my hotel stay for my Las Vegas Trip on April 16-19?
The earlier the better. Your price is locked in regardless if the airfare or room fees go up. If you go with a travel agent they can usually give you a heads up if an increase is on the horizon and when it will go into effect. You don't pay any more to use one. I always go to Vegas and find my trips on Funjet.com. I call my agent and get the exact same fare as on the websit. Have fun.
It is the best to book as soon as possible IMO. If you book directly with your desired hotel you can cancel and rebook most of the time. Before you book I would check the current hotel promotion codes in order to lower the price. Check http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com for this.
Book ahead of time, sometimes when you don't book, it gets filled and there wont be space to book in, I would book in as soon as possible, the early the better.
I would book as soon as possible.
Unlike other US cities, there is no peak or off-peak seasons in Las Vegas. Hotel room prices changes from day to day and sometimes from hour to hour. The price you will pay depends on what else is happening in town on that day. To get a great price,

My suggestions:

1) Check-in on a week day and not a weekend.

2) Check the convention calendar to make sure there are no major events in town.

3) Book on time.

4) Look for deals and promo codes.
