Does Trendwest actually give out a prize including flight tickets and hotel stay?

I entered a drawing in a mall for a car. Someone from Trendwest Resort called to tell me that I won second prize, a trip for two to Las Vegas or San Diego for 3 days 2 night, including flight.





Do they actually give out those prizes with no strings attached after their mandatory 90-min presentation?Does Trendwest actually give out a prize including flight tickets and hotel stay?
Yes it's for real. I went and got my flight voucher which I was told included 2 nights/3 days in Vegas. First they have you send in the voucher with about $90 for taxes and fees along with 3 preferred flight dates (Monday and Tuesday departures only, so don't expect to go on a weekend) In a couple weeks you'll receive your itinerary with their selected date. Be prepared for either a early morning or late night flight down and a early morning flight back - which doesn't really give you 3 days right? The hotels are very low end places off the strip. Last time we were put up at the Wild West, which we refused to stay at and ended up reserving a room at The Flamingo on the strip for about $90 total instead. As the other person said you get what you pay for and since your only paying about $45 or less per person you can't expect much. If you've never been to Vegas this would probably be a bad first experience, but if you've gone before and know your way around so that your not stuck in some crappy hotel then it's probably worth it. I will give a warning - the presentation I received was VERY HIGH PRESSURE! They will try to get you to invest in a timeshare by almost any means possible. My friends have attended these too and have said the same, although I think their experiences were worse than mine. yes...i had a chance to ask one person when they called....it's not the best prizes...it's those that you have to use with in one year...have to book 90 days before departure...pay a $30.00 maintance fee...A $ 50.00 cancellation charge...there are dates that you can not fly...some hotels are less than 3 star....Lets just say...you get what you pay for...it's just a flyer to some travel agancy's Company sale....If you can work out the details...it would be okay for you....but a lot involved...so I never took advantage of it....
