I have never done one before but I am planning a trip to Las Vegas soon and thought about this but cant find any websites about it.
Does anyone have any info.....Thanks in advanceI was told that doing a timeshare presentation could get you a free hotel stay or tickets, discounts, etc?
Total waste of valuable vacation time. It is like summer school. Lots of pressure and not worth it. The shows they give you tickets for are same day tickets for the standard Vegas shows. You can buy those tickets at ticket broker kiosks all over the Strip half price. So you will waste a whole day being pressured to buy something no one wants and you will get tickets worth about $20.
*I was told that doing a timeshare presentation could get you a free hotel stay or tickets, discounts, etc?
The gravy train is over...hotel chains that own the timeshare resorts are all cutting back sharply. There are many requirements for ';free'; stuff like staying on a Tuesday to Thursday, or redeeming vouchers that require specific documents mailed in at specific times.
For the honor of getting free stuff, you are subjected to the hardest core sales job you could ever imagine. They are trained to take all your objections and use them against you to persuade you to buy a timeshare.
Then, once you have it, the financial burden is crushing over time for many people. Simply don't go...free really isn't free.
Do you enjoy having root canal work done on you? That is where you will wish you were near the end of their presentation. It will be five long horrible hours of being brow beaten by people who were at first smiling and laughing. They then turn into merciless leaches who prey on the weak minded. They don't give you free rooms anymore. They can't afford it now. They are going bankrupt one right after another and where will that leave you when you buy an $80,000 one week vacation with $600.00 a year maintenance condo that 51 other people get suckered into buying.
People who own them keep telling you how wonderful they are to own and wouldn't do with out it .... the reason is down the road they are going to try to sell it to you at some point.
Yes its true you get free tickets, free breakfast, at least when we did one they said breakfast what it really was was dry muffins and nasty cheap orange juice. The lady we signed up with said you have to tell them your income is between 50K and 100K or you aren't eligible for the free tickets. They will waste an entire day of your vacation and you will spend a miserable day with the salesperson who will do their best to get you to buy into the Timeshare. You are cheaper off and less miserable if you just buy whatever show tickets or park tickets you are wanting.
Tried Disney's Timeshare thingy and ended up losing out on an entire day's vacation without any tickets. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!
Not worth it.
I went to one years ago. I had to go to the bathroom, so they had someone escort me. When I wanted to leave early, I had to start yelling.
I remember they had plants in there, because every once in a while one of the sales people would stand up and state he or she had just sold a time share, and I know full and well no one in there right mind would waste their money on something like that.
Compared to what I went through Hell would seem like a holiday.
There are some but realize it is more than a sales presentation, it is a very HARD presentation and they take you to several places. My friend's sister/brother went and they were there for five hours!!!
Not worth it
We did one in may and it took 5 hrs of our day. We got buffet tickets and tickets to American Super stars, so not worth it!!! They got really rude when we said we didn't want to buy a time share. BEWARE they are everywhere!
They meant going to a T/S presentation would get you free stuff.
Don't get suckered in to buying a T/S . you'll never get out of it..ever
Time shares are not worth it. Believe me.
