my water pipes burst ed on friday afternoon. our entire apartment is flooded. the landlords shut off the electric and the water. we have a 2 month old baby and of course we couldn't stay there. we are staying in a hotel. my question is shouldn't we get reimbursed for this? we didn't leave by choice.Should my landlords pay for my hotel stay?
I am a landlord. First why did they burst? frozen I would guess? did he instruct you to leave the water running to keep them from freezing? if he did and you didn't then its your fault. If he didn't and you did not know about it, then yes I would pay for your room till you could get back into the house. That's only right.
